About the Author

John Jochum married Karen Kallgren, R.N. in June 1980, and they now are raising three children in Salisbury, Maryland. After completing a Masters of Zoology program at the University of Oklahoma, Jochum managed a commercial fish farm before moving back to Maryland in 1988. Currently, the author teaches science and French to high school students in a small Christian school and works in construction during the summers.

This is a fascintaing book to read! It's light reading due to it being in letter form but you just want to keep reading more as John's adventures and experiences develop on a weekly basis. A wonderful insight into the experiences of someone working in the Peace Corps in the 1970's.
