 I'm absolutely in love with the Flower Color Guide. I pre-ordered it and was literally counting down the days until it arrived. It's really informative and simply beautiful. It's my favorite coffee table book! Thinking of getting one for every flower lover I know.

I don't care if you're a professional floral designer with years of experience under your belt and thorns under your fingernails or an aspiring insta-inspired florist with an embarrassing amount of flower-related queries in your google search history. . . you need this book, it's perfect.I'm the first variety of florist, the thorn-y kind with a design studio and bride clients, but I wish I had this book when I first started . . . hell I wish I had it last week. Its perfection lies in its practicality, simplicity, and beauty. I’ll use it daily. Whether it’s to show a bride an example of a particular bloom, to check seasonality (“I’m sorry Claudia, you can’t have peonies for your January wedding, see? Right there. Darroch and Michael say so, it’s out of my control” - end scene), or to simply find inspiration. I’m not waxing poetic when I say this is my absolute favorite flower book and the only one I’ll hands-down recommend. They have masterfully created the design book for designers. . .however, the pictures are so beautiful I’d recommend it to anyone with eyes.

I love Heather Graham's books. They are full of historic happenings. My favorite genre. Melisandre and Conar have so much angst between them. She has so much trouble dealing with her feelings, she is so alone and at such a young age. Her father is murdered. Conar had to wait for her to grow up (She is 13) but I felt he really could have been kinder and more understanding. But then where would the story be?? I loved this story!

good story line, but the author has the hero and heroine continually arguing......the heroine wouldnt back off and give in....it became very tedious...the author did this in another of her books....not sure i will read any more books by this author...

This was a fine and fun read. I like Viking novels that hold my attention, as well as strong-minded independent women who aren't afraid to protect their self and those they care for. I also like strong-bodied determined men, with a streak of hard-to-tame. You get both in this book. Both the male and female are stubborn and independent, so they are bound to butt heads. Toss in strong physical attraction and admiration, and you get more than just (as I call them) "a lusty novel." But you get that too! :)

I found it interesting how the author had the characters view with a kind tolerance the two religions, Norse and Christian, as if both could exist in their world.

This was another wonderful romance story by this author who writes love stories better than anyone else.The storyline was exceptionally well written and I enjoyed how the author developed the romance storyline between the hero and heroine of this story. The secondary characters were also well written and added so much to the storyline.I have enjoyed all of the Viking stories this author has written and I look forward to hopefully more of these in the future.

This is the third in Graham's excellent Viking trilogy. Set in 9th century Ireland (Eire), England and the north coast of France, the trilogy tells the stories of Prince Olaf of Norway, the first Lord of the Wolves, and his bride, Princess Erin, daughter of the Irish High King, the Ard-Righ of Tara and their descendants.I warn you that the Viking men in this series are strong willed, arrogant and domineering and those in the last two books are half Irish. Their loves are independent, stubborn and courageous women who have lost much and still can fight with the best of the men. They have no intention of allowing a Viking male who has taken everything from them to dominate them. But then wolves and the cubs of wolves mate for life or so says the druid who is advisor to the Irish king's family--and these men are wolves. Each of the marriages is arranged over the objection of the females who fight the husbands laying claim to their lands and to them.This third in the series tells the story of Olaf and Erin's son, Conar, who like his father is known as the Lord of the Wolves for he has been great in battle, and Countess Melisande whose castle lies on the north coast of France. Melisande's father, Count Manon, a virile and handsome man, loves his daughter deeply and takes pride in her beauty, her intelligence and her independence. At nearly 13, he knows her growing beauty and her vulnerability as Countess will require that she must one day wed and he's been surveying worthy candidates for the eventual day. With such a purpose in mind, he invites the Wolf's son, Conar, from Eire (Ireland) who he's been impressed with before, to visit his lands in France and meet Melisande. He will not force her to consider him if she doesn't like him, however.Conar arrives just as the Count is slain by a neighbor who covets his daughter and his lands. With the Count's men now leaderless, and believing Conar will protect their lands, they decide Melisande must marry Conar (though the marriage cannot be consummated for many years). Melisande, who takes an instant dislike to the arrogant and demanding Viking, is forced into the marriage. Conar is only willing to marry the difficult child to get the lands. Once wed (in a hasty ceremony), he sends her away to Ireland to his sister who is a nun so she can grow up. His family falls in love with her and many years later he decides to come for her. But she has escaped to his brother, Eric, who is in England. She has no intention of being Conar's wife in truth. She wants an annulment. But Conar will "never" let her go.Conar gave his body to his mistresses and his mind and heart to his family and his rune reader, the lovely blonde Brenna. So it was a bit hard to see how he could love Melisande, It does come together in the end. It's a worthy installment in the series, and as always, Graham delivers a good tale. Very romantic and exciting!

VERY LITTLE CONTENTShort collection of personal pet peeves of author with very few details about Australian culture. Provides examples of a few vernacular words but nothing that would assist you in understanding the cultural context of the English spoken there, unless perhaps if you spent time in a dive bar in some remote area (to which there are numerous referrals). No value in understanding business or everyday life in Australia.

This Sheila enjoyed this brief tongue in cheek view of Americans and Australians face to face. As with most humor, there is an anchor of truth in all of the wit. As an American going to Australia soon, I am ready to relax and enjoy a good beer.

This is an interesting read into the mind of an Australian and his views on American Australian relationships. It’s humorous and educational but honestly feels lacking when it really comes to Australian mindset. There’s ton of information about US AU military relations thanks to the authors service time but outside of that it’s a bit tunnel visioned in the grand scheme of Australian thought.

This is a good 1-2 hour read. It has enough insight and good information to retain, but not overkill. I also enjoyed the humor. Well worth it.

No way am I suggesting this book is incoherent, but there are sentences which do not make sense in English.Four stars because of some of the long-winded, slightly awkward, and hard-to-grasp sentence structures.If I were to rate Ibn Rajab's argument, though, this forum would not be adequate, and I'd have to write a commentary on this book to do it some form of justice.

Very well translated, I learned a lot reading this. I am looking forward to seeing Musa Furber translate many more books like these into English, these are very much needed in the west. May Allah (SWT) protect and reward him for his efforts.

I’m a huge fan of Kristina McMorris and this book was such a treat. First you learn of the photo and then the story unfolds into something much deeper. The tragedies of families who were poor and hungry and perhaps ill are sad by themselves. Then add in the choices people make to sell s story and complicated doesn’t touch this book. Ellis and Lily are quite different but yet both are hiding secrets.Loved the journey this book took me on. Learning more about the early 1930’s and loving the newspaper aspect in the tale. Highly recommend!! I had the chance to hear the author speak as well and the research that went into this and all her books was fascinating. Grab this book soon!!

The title and cover photo initially hooked me into reading this book and then I didn't put it down unti! I was finished. It's pretty unusual for a man to be writing feature articles in the society section of a newspaper in the 40's. I found the plot to be engaging and the pacing about right. It's a good read for an afternoon.

This novel is set during the Depression Era of 1931. A sign was in the yard where two small boys were playing that read 'Children For Sell '.This may sound cruel but times were hard in America. Everything was fine until one day the Stock Market crashed, Banks were closing, no money, no food, people out of work, long bread lines waiting for food. Families with children couldn't afford to feed them. Some parents passed their children to farmers to help with the farming. Some parents sold their children thinking it would give their children a better life.This story is about Ellis Reed, a fiction character was a newspaper reported trying to keep his job. He saw the sign and the two boys playing, he took a picture and wrote a story for the newspaper. It was a sad realistic event that blew up in his face. Ellis tries to make his wrong / right again. The story is well written, I couldn't turn the pages fast enough, it was that good. The setting, the characters and the plot was outstanding and so vivid. I recommend this book to all that want to know more about the Great Depression Era.

Once I began reading Sold on a Monday by Kristina McMorris, I could not stop. The story captivated me from the opening page. As Ellis and Lily search for the two children who have been sold and for their mother, I was totally absorbed in the story and hoping for the best outcome. Ellis encounters particularly unsavory characters who endanger his life, but he continues with the search as does Lily. I highly recommend Sold on a Monday.

The moral issues are dealt with in a trite and immature level of analysis. The legal aspects are far fetched. The romance interest angle is shallow and gratuitous. Just a dull read. Not horrible when stuck on a 15 hour flight to India but if you have other options, take them

The likelihood of the story being true is easy to believe. Although the unintentional outcome that stems from one little dishonest act are a bit unlikely the book illustrates beautifully, the newspaper industry in it's heyday, the results of mistakes made by many types of people and the natural consequences, some good others not we all make

The picture I looked up made my heart sink. I can't imagine trying to keep my children well and fed and healthy and not being able to meet those basic needs daily.. Excellent book makes one think
