There is only one page worth coloring, which is the cover page and so tiny to color. The majority of pages are horrible. Terribly disappointed!

I'm always looking for new ways to relax myself and to enjoy my me time. Coloring Panda in a sari was a new experience for me. One normally thinks of a kid's book when looking for a coloring book. I came upon this book by accident and it reminded me of how much I enjoyed coloring when I was young. It's basically the same but the images are adapted to adults. The complexity of the drawings makes it a challenge to color them in such a way so they are even more beautiful. Coloring is an art and this book helps you discover this. This doesn't mean you can't color some of them with your kids, but it's nice to meet the challenge of being able to finish a drawing and see the beautiful result. So I would say to anyone who would like to try out something new and old at the same time (feel like a kid again), start coloring again!

I love this coloring book! The process of coloring is highly meditative and fun, as you can tap into your inner child and partake in a healthy escape. It’s a great way to bond with friends or if you have children, coloring silently together in this world of noise. The images are highly detailed and for the developing child, it can foster fine motor skills, grip, visual distinction, patience, creativity and decision making. I love the message on the back of the book by the author.

It touched on all of the subjects I enjoy reading about most: travel, food, Iran, and looooove. Sigh. I almost don’t want to write anything about it because Klinec unveils herself to readers page by page. You’ll eventually learn where she was born, which countries her parents emigrated from, and how she eventually finds herself globe trekking in search of herself, and the foods that represent family and home in different countries.What I will say is that she has a way with words and descriptions that can put you both in the kitchen or in an inner city walled garden. This girl can write! I was a nervous wreck throughout because I wasn’t sure if there would be a happy ending or not, and leave it to her to not quiet my anxiety until the last TWO pages! I will leave you with one exerpt–but just the one!"Iranian rice is unlike any other. It isn’t boiled or steamed or thrown unceremoniously into a rice cooker. Iranian rice is first soaked and bathed like a Hindu princess, rinsed in three changes of just-warm water. It goes into the pot with a spoonful of salt, carefully simmering just until it begins to yield, its determined character and bite remaining intact. Finally it is drained and returned to the pot in a footpool of melted butter, over the gentlest of heat, until it is so impossibly light and fluffy it could fill quilts and pillows of Buckingham Palace.""Tipped out into a wide, shallow serving bowl, each grain of rice is perfectly separate and served piled high like wedding confetti, adorned with streaks of bright yellow saffron and dotted with a final, loving pat of yet more butter. But the best part of all is still to come: the tahdig. This is an interesting little memoir about a young woman who grew up in Ontario and had happy memories of her mother cooking her native food from Yugoslavia. Her mother stopped cooking elaborate meals when their business took off, but Jen forever afterwards sought out interesting foods and cultural traditions surrounding them. As her parents were mostly absent after Jen’s early years, she developed independence young and found opportunities to study abroad both for high school and college. On her breaks, she would visit the most obscure places she could find. In her twenties, she had landed herself in a high paying corporate job, however, there was little love for it. She abandoned this to begin teaching cooking classes out of her tiny flat in London.In her thirties, she goes on a largely unplanned trip to Iran, hoping to learn more of the culture and Middle Eastern cooking traditions. Immediately, Vahid, an energetic Iranian man, 6 years younger than she, sparks up conversation with her and invites her to his mother’s kitchen. Initially she is put off by him, however with time, a love interest develops. Through this relationship, a glimpse into the cultural rules regarding relationships is thoroughly explored in this land. Their relationship must remain a secret from his family and Iranians at large, until Vahid has the idea of a “temporary marriage.” They go to great lengths to get a Mullah to grant them this, so that they may be allowed to be together and have something to show the police with whom they’ve had many confrontations. Even once they’ve gone public with their relationship, it is not accepted among Vahid’s family and their being seen together causes great consternation in Vahid’s home town of Yazd.The book quickly shifts from a memoir about a love for food to a memoir about a love for a boy. It is a book about “yaaftan,” finding something beautiful in a place where it is least expected or where you had to struggle. Albert H. Morehead (1909–1966), known as the “modern Hoyle,” was the games editor of the New York Times, a lexicographer, and the author of more than 50 books on card games. Some of his works include The Complete Book of Solitaire and Patience Games and the world-famous Contract Bridge Summary.Geoffrey Mott-Smith was cochairman of the ACBL Laws Commission, editor of the ACBL Bridge Bulletin 1935–36, a contributor to The Bridge World, a writer, and a cryptographer. This book is very well written, and apart from the short introduction, which includes a brief history of solitaire and patience games, the bulk of the book consists of directions for play of many various solitaire games in several different families. Not every game has an illustration, but there are illustrations of every game that needs it. The rules of each game are precise, consistent, and unambiguous. I haven't yet come across a case where the wording of a rule left doubt in my mind.However, the authors list their approximation for winning various games, but as they themselves admit in the preface, these are, in their own words, "wide of the mark." I designed a computer simulation in Python which would play one of the games, Perpetual Motion, which takes a human about an hour to complete, and offers no choices of movement, meaning each shuffle has a deterministic outcome, whether a human or perfect computer program plays it. Out of 2,100 games, 1,236 were won, or just under 60%. Hundreds of games to learn about in this book.The illustrations are understandable, but can take some time to study to figure out what the book is saying about the game.I recommend knowing how to play solitaire before learning the games in this book to be able to understand the book.

I gave this to a twelve year old boy for Christmas he seemed to really enjoy the games he found in it.

If you have a deck of cards, some free time, and nobody to play with, give this book a try. It has rules and gameplay examples for Klondike as well as many other solitaire games and their variations. There are a lot of games packed in this book so it is worth the price.

Grandson loved it. He plays solitare a lot and said this will allow him to expand his range of different styles of playing teh game.

Essential if you play solitaires other than freecell. I had one years ago but it disappeared, so I had to get a new one for those I'm-too-twitchy-to-read times. :)

If you are buying this for a Senior please note the printing is VERY small. Actually the whole book is one of those 'pocket size' books and feels and looks really cheap.
