As an active duty officer in the United States Navy I cannot recommend this book enough for a parent or family member of young children trying to aid in discussing and coping with the separation of deployment. A very sweet and simple book that I read to my 5 and 7 year old to remind them that no matter how far apart or for how long we are separated, they are in my heart and dreams always.

Wonderful book . Great for military families and to use to explain to non military children about why military fathers and or mothers are gone on deployment.

A must have for any family with a loved one in the service!

Bramley is very compelling as a professor of world history. If you are a sci-fi buff looking for bizarre tales of abductions by little green men, you won't find them here. If the birth of communism or the visions of Joseph Smith sound like snoozers, this may not be the book for you. But if history is your interest, especially the psychology of why things happened as they did, you will find The Gods of Eden as fascinating and well-researched as any college textbook. Bramley walks us in painstaking detail through the events of human civilization--the politics, the religions, the wars, the cultural upheavals--beginning circa 5000 bce in Mesopotamia and winding up in late twentieth century America with the assassinations of the sixties and the threats posed by cults and religious extremism today. And his approach is equally thought-provoking, informative, and frequently humorous. The writing is fairly polished, so much so that history and sociology buffs can easily become so caught up in Bramley's take on the events, the newsmakers and the intrigue of the past that we almost find ourselves losing sight of Bramley's central premise, the remarkably subtle thread he weaves through every page of every chapter: that we hapless homo sapiens are being used and always have been -- that each of these seemingly unrelated events and persons were and are, in fact, critical pieces of a master plan orchestrated by aliens. Or 'gods' if you prefer the vernacular of those who worship them. He seems to believe, in a nutshell, that a band of extraterrestrial tyrants whom he calls the Custodials landed here eons ago with self-serving and nefarious intentions in mind. They wasted no time in eliminating the early humanoid primates they didn't need and enslaving the rest of us. And over the ensuing millennia these mysterious other-worldly wizards have methodically and repeatedly pitted humans against humans in bloody wars and painful conflicts in a clever ploy to keep us weak and under their command. That tactic and their rule over us continues today, as profoundly as ever. Indeed, no significant event throughout the course of human experience, Bramley suggests, happens by sheer accident without the Custodials behind the curtain pulling the levers. The book is detailed, so it's not a quick read; but I found it to be a fun read. But do his arguments hold water? I invite you to be the judge. Even as an amateur student of history myself, however, I must say I learned a lot along the way. Not about UFOs but about mankind and the way we think.

Mr Bramley makes his disdain of God and the Lord Jesus very clear in this fictional tale. His hypothesis is misguided at best. What he doesn't realize is that there is some truth in the beings that had charge over mankind at the beginning, but is was not aliens, but rather (and the Bible supports this) these beings were spiritual rulers of the Divine Council that God Himself gave authority over the physical creation. They fell through pride and brought great deception upon mankind, including the false "doctrine" that Mr. Bramley has bought hook, line and sinker.There were a few interesting things in this tale, but rather than causing me even an ounce of doubt about what I believe, each chapter only served to convince me further of the absolute Truth of the canon of Scripture.

You won't find this well researched and well written account of our history on many library book-shelves, so I urge you to make a purchase here and expand your awareness, your insight and your inspiration.This tome has brought together a lot of seemingly dis-jointed information that has been niggling my thoughts for years. Thank you W.B. for some long awaited for peace of mind!If you are one who cares about this planet and are curious to know why things are the way they are - so violently backwards from right thinking with sociopaths running the show generation after generation, and wondering too if there's anything you can possibly do to help it to change - reading this will help.With such an ancient history of malfunction you learn that there's not a lot we can do other than on our own personal level. Withdraw from the sociopath's induced life style and become your true and real selves, disengage from their offerings and their rules. Good luck, they do not make it easy, but you can do it. Do it for your children and your grandchildren.

I have studied ancient history from a variety of sources, religious, secular, and what some may refer to as "new age" "hidden" or "occult" history.The Author builds a very compelling case for the flow of history and fills in many of the gaps I was still searching for. I had read "Synthesis Remembered" by Charles L Moore which I highly recommend, and this book by William Bramley really helps to build on my overall view of human history. I highly praise this book which shall always remain in my personal library.

Wow! William Bramley wrote a classic here. This book is almost 30 years old, but most people still aren't ready to hear what he tells us. I only heard of this book from an amazon reviewer who while reviewing another book said Bramley's was much better. Thank you amazon reviewers who are sooo helpful!! I am open-minded but when my friend and i discussed this book we both felt the same---You won't be able to put it down, but it makes your entire worldview about our history on earth in question. It feels kind of creepy to think that mankind has been so misdirected, but fascinating. I wouldn't be able to do Mr. Bramley's excellent research and writing justice--I'll just say he goes through humankind's history and reresearches it through fresh eyes. I have seen Mr. Bramley appear briefly on the Ancient Aliens series on the History Channel. Also, I brought my copy of Gods of Eden to a MUFON meeting and the director for the state of Illinois spotted it and said it's a good book.
