This is definitely just enrichment/extra practice, not a good book for using to teach concepts. The problems contained inside were good practice for concepts and included multi-step word problems that were very real-world concepts. This would definitely be useful to go along with a different math curriculum, but you would have to line up which concepts go together so you get the instruction from elsewhere.

My son is in 7th grade and having trouble with math, thought I could use this as after school help. Turns out the book is nothing like the math covered in 7th grade, more like 5th grade math. I could only find two pages in the whole book that covered anything he has in the 7th grade curriculum at school. This book will not help your child with 7th grade math.

Got this to help my daughter review 7th grade math before moving on to 8th. The online curriculum we'd been using went through a few changes and we knew she might be missing some items, also testing had revealed a weak area in problem solving. This workbook has been perfect for those specific needs. We both love it. That being said, it is for "Enrichment" and I don't think it'd be a good choice for a complete math curriculum teaching new skills. You would need more instruction and more practice.

Only completed up to page 9. Found 2 mistakes already!!!! (Page 7, lesson 2.1, question 5 & page 9, lesson 2.3, question 2) Who writes this book?????

There are a lot of errors in the answer key.

My son is learning alot with this book he is homeschooled and every learning tool is awesome.
